Online Stuttering Therapy

Each client who stutters is unique and will have different goals for stuttering therapy. I help clients and their families clarify and achieve these goals, which may include:

• Speaking more easily
  
• Being a more confident communicator
• Understanding the nature of stuttering
• Advocating for accommodations at school or at work

Therapy is a gentle process in which your  thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to stuttering are explored and shaped. A positive relationship between client and therapist is essential to this process, and you should expect a highly supportive and safe environment in which to explore your stuttering.

Stephanie Hughes provides online stuttering therapy to residents of Michigan and Ohio via Zoom. Online therapy has the advantage of being convenient and just as effective as real-time therapy. Please call or email to discuss the services that can be provided in this format.

Payment and Insurance

Each session costs $75 for 45-60 minutes. All services must be paid at the time they are rendered. I do not bill insurance directly, but am happy to help you submit all documentation for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider before our first meeting to see if they will reimburse you for your visits.
